AEON Vietnam Expands Recruitment for 2026

The company plans to recruit more than 3,000 additional employees in 2026 to support its nationwide expansion strategy and strengthen resources for long-term growth plans through 2030.

Representatives of AEON Vietnam stated that these initiatives are aimed at realizing the company’s goal of tripling its current scale by 2030. The company believes that Vietnam’s retail market is expected to witness strong growth in the coming years, driving consumer spending and expanding labor demand within the industry. According to Vietnam’s retail market development strategy through 2030, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are targeted to achieve an average annual growth rate of approximately 11–11.5% during the 2025–2030 period. Vietnam’s GDP per capita is also projected to exceed USD 5,000 by 2026.

AEON Vietnam noted that these figures reflect improving income levels and living standards. “These factors are expected to boost purchasing power while placing greater demands on the quality of human resources in the retail sector — an industry characterized by a large workforce and rapid expansion,” an AEON Mall representative commented.

According to the Anphabe 2025 report, talent competition in the retail industry is no longer centered solely on salary and compensation, but increasingly focuses on sustainable values such as work-life balance, career stability, and long-term development opportunities.

AEON Group considers Vietnam a key strategic market alongside Japan. With ambitions to expand its scale, AEON is accelerating its nationwide development and business network expansion plans. This strategy reflects the group’s long-term investment commitment while simultaneously opening thousands of promotion opportunities for internal employees and attractive positions for new candidates, laying a strong workforce foundation for the next phase of growth.

Specifically, AEON is implementing a dual-track development strategy across both vertical and horizontal dimensions. Vertically, the company focuses on enhancing its supply chain to maintain AEON-standard quality at reasonable prices, while also developing private brands such as Topvalu and Home Coordy to reinforce its core value of quality. Horizontally, AEON Vietnam is accelerating the expansion of its network through diverse retail models, ranging from supermarkets and general merchandise stores to shopping malls, providing consumers with more convenient and diverse shopping experiences.

In 2025, AEON Vietnam opened multiple new retail locations across the Red River Delta and southern regions, while also organizing three major recruitment fairs for AEON Tan An, AEON Van Giang, and AEON Binh Duong Midori Park, along with various other concentrated hiring activities. These programs attracted tens of thousands of applicants, demonstrating the strong appeal of the brand in the labor market.

With the orientation of “Nurturing Individuality – Empowering Sustainable Careers,” AEON Vietnam focuses on building a working environment based on three pillars: sustainable career development for individuals, a sustainable workplace culture, and sustainable corporate growth.

AEON Vietnam’s HR strategy is developed in parallel with its business growth strategy, focusing on building sustainable career development pathways while empowering employees to take ownership of their professional journeys. The company also promotes a sustainable workplace culture that enables employees to maximize their potential, strengthen their capabilities, and realize their personal values, thereby building a resilient workforce that can grow alongside AEON over the long term.
